The Islands of Adventure park, open since 1999, is composed of six themed “islands.” They include Jurassic Park, The Lost Continent, Toon Lagoon, Seuss Landing, and the Marvel Super Hero Island. A new island based on the beloved Harry Potter book series and films is scheduled to open in late 2009.
Universal CityWalk offers 30 acres of entertainment, primarily for night-time visitors. The complex offers live music, dancing, both casual and fine dining, movies, and shopping. The popular Blue Man Group performs at CityWalk. Hot nightclubs are a favorite for both locals and tourists, alike.
Also nearby is SeaWorld Orlando, including Discovery Cove and the new water park, Aquatica, as well as the long-time favorite Wet ‘n Wild water park.
