Hotel Description:

Part residence, part upscale hotel, the Belden-Stratford occupies a 1924 building in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood. The expansive lobby is appointed with Empire-style furnishings, a gold-and-alabaster chandelier, hand-woven tapestries, plush carpeting, and vintage brass railings. The high, vaulted ceiling is hand-painted with a sky pattern. The hotel attracts business travelers, vacationers, and celebrating couples who appreciate its refined style, award-winning dining, and away-from-the-crowds setting.


	Location Benefits

This 16-story hotel is across from Lincoln Park and two blocks from Clark Street shopping. Admission to the Lincoln Park Zoo, directly across from the hotel, is free every day.


	Accommodations

The 16-story Belden-Stratford has 300 rooms and suites, but just 35 are for hotel use. Suites have full kitchens, while standard rooms have kitchenettes. Decor includes Oriental rugs and walnut furniture. Some accommodations overlook the park or the city. Bathrooms feature Gilchrist & Soames products.


	Services/Features

A fitness center on the lower level offers cardio and strength-training equipment. The spa, also on the lower level, includes a spa tub and sauna, along with a variety of therapies. The hotel is across the street from Lincoln Park, which features walking and running paths, a zoo, a playground, volleyball, and a flower conservatory. Lake Michigan, one block from the hotel, offers swimming and a lakefront path for walking, jogging, and bicycling.


	Restaurants/Lounges

Mon Ami Gabi - Tall windows frame views of the Lincoln Park Conservatory, or, in summer, the hotel's garden. The menu of French bistro fare includes Onion Soup Au Gratin, Steak Frites, and Bouillabaisse Marseillaise. The rolling wine cart offers a wide selection of wines by the glass. The Stratford Market - This Mexican-American deli serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.
