Staying put is also an option at the Helmsley with award-winning dining at Mindy's and legendary martinis at Harry's New York Bar. Both are onsite at the hotel.


	Location Benefits

The New York Helmsley is located on East 42nd between Second and Third Avenues. Guests will find themselves just two blocks from the United Nations and Grand Central Station, and five blocks from Fifth Avenue shopping, Times Square, the Broadway Theatre District, and the Empire State Building. All other New York City sights are just a short taxi ride away. The Helmsley also puts business travelers wthin seven minutes of the Jacob Javitz Convention Center.


	Accommodations

The New York Helmsley features spacious, deluxe rooms (315-325 square feet) with panoramic city views. Guests may choose from rooms with either one king size bed or two double beds -- all with Health Smart� Bedding by Simmons�. All accommodations at the Helmsley feature three two-line telephones (one with dualport fax and modem), color cable TV with Pay-Per-View movies, express video checkout, in-room safe, and complimentary weekday delivery of The New York Times. Each large bathroom includes a hair dryer, non-steam vanity mirror, cotton pique robe, and European toiletries made exclusively for Helmsley Hotels. Evening turndown service is also available upon request.


	Services/Features

The New York Helmsley has many hotel services including, room service, nightly turndown service, express video check out, full service business center, ATM in the hotel lobby, gift shop/news stand, valet laundry service, and concierge service, which offers assistance with theater tickets, tours, transportation, or babysitting. Parking is available for guests of the New York Helmsley at a rate of $35-$45 per day. Business and leisure travelers can also rent cell phones, PCs, and office equipment in the business center. Hotel doorman is on duty 24 hours a day for added security.


	Restaurants/Lounges

The New York Helmsley Hotel features Mindy's, a tri-level gourmet restaurant located onsite. Guests can indulge in award-winning globally influenced American cuisine at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
